Officials Extend Advisory Due To Heavy Smoke
San Francisco- After the overall presence of smoke in the Bay area has remained, the officials closely monitoring the overall quality of the Air have chosen to extend the Air quality warnings that were posted on Wednesday and Thursday.
Air quality is predicted to remain in the “Unhealthy” range according to Anthony Presto.
Mr. Presto is the Spokesman for the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.
A large number of California Wildfires continue to pump ash; dust and smoke into the air and several of the fires remain largely uncontrolled as the Bay area heads into the weekend.
The number of fires and the distance they cover are causing firefighters a great deal of difficulty.
The combination of ozone pollution and small particles from the fires promise to keep the announced air quality in the unhealthy range for the immediate future.
Overall, if you have breathing issues of any kind, and the elderly, the young and people with allergies are urged to either stay indoors, or to travel for the short term out of the region until the air quality improves.
